About FUND-YES
Background
It is a known fact that tens of millions of Nigerian youths are unemployed, poverty-stricken and helplessly frustrated without hope for a better tomorrow. They are angry with Nigeria and this unfortunate reality places the country’s future in great danger beyond its current security challenges. Where youths are denied the opportunity to actively participate in the economy, crime becomes their best alternative. The country’s rising youth unemployment is a ticking time bomb whose looming explosion will doubtless come with more damaging consequences than could ever imagine. If nothing is done to reverse Nigeria’s trend of high youth unemployment, millions of angry unemployed youths will sooner than later translate their frustration into a full-blown anti-government rebellion and indeed a social revolution. Let us not forget that the “EndSARS Protest” was a narrow escape from a social revolution.
Without fixing the problem of “Youth Bulge” and high youth unemployment, Nigeria will keep sitting dangerously on a keg of gunpowder. With household poverty deepening on a daily basis and youth unemployment widening everyday, Nigeria is obviously fast drifting towards political collapse. The existing necessity to pragmatically tackle Nigeria’s two key social problems of “youth poverty” and “household poverty” was what inspired the creation of FUND-YES Cooperative, which is a multisectoral cooperative business society of youth and women entrepreneurs, as well as financial investors, wholly designed to provide a networking platform for business cooperation and investment exchange that enable youth and women entrepreneurs to connect, partner and do business with global financial investors for the mutual benefit of profit generation and wealth creation. This is the surest means of mitigating Nigeria’s worrisome youth and women unemployment and its associated effect of “youth poverty” and “household poverty”.

Why FUND-YES Was Formed
Millions of Nigerian youths and women who are today unemployed are not dull or lazy but intelligent, educated and skilled people with brilliant business ideas who unfortunately lack access to the business financing and enterprise development assistance needed to set up and grow their own businesses as entrepreneurs. The critical need to address the business financing constraints faced by aspiring youth and women entrepreneurs and also by others who are already existing entrepreneurs, is the reason FUND-YES was formed. In addition to business financing, FUND-YES Cooperative also offer the enterprise development assistance needed to adequately equip youth and women entrepreneurs while providing opportunities for financial investors to generate profits, make money (grow their money) and build wealth for themselves
FUND-YES is a non-bank financial investment and wealth creation cooperative business society anchored by Youths Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI), an NGO duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The need to pragmatically address Nigeria’s problems of “Youth Bulge”, chronic youth unemployment, youth poverty, women poverty and household poverty, as well as the vices, crimes and human security threats associated with these key social factors, is the actual cause, which inspired the creation of FUND-YES, whose aim is to serve, as a multifaceted wealth creation social investment vehicle for transforming Nigerian youths and women into successful entrepreneurs and builders of income and wealth, who are the true change agents and the social and economic catalysts for household economic security and rapid national economic recovery, growth and development, thus empowering youths and women to become agents of their own development.
Where youths are denied the opportunity to adequately participate in the economy, crime will be a good option for them. This is exactly the situation we have today in Nigeria. The inability of Nigeria’s federal and state governments to adequately engage youths for labour and economic productivity is the root cause of the country’s recurring economic retrogression and high rate of youth crime, especially the country’s overwhelming insecurity. But the existence of FUND-YES will help to reverse this ugly trend.
The necessity to sustainably address Nigeria’s problems of the reckless economic marginalization and exclusion of youths and women, is among the core reasons for the creation of FUND-YES Cooperative, designed to serve, as a non-bank multifaceted entrepreneurship and MSME-financing-and-development cooperative business society dedicated to turning youths and women into entrepreneurs, employers, income builders, wealth creators, change agents and the social and economic catalysts for Nigeria’s rapid economic development and eradication of household poverty. Our hope and dream of a healthy and prosperous economy will come true but only when youths and women are given the entrepreneurial platform to actively participate in economic development and this is what FUND-YES is mandated to achieve through its operations
